If God is One

They preach of light
but draw a line
Say: This is yours
and this is mine

Raise up rules
but dim the flame
And teach in fear
what none can name

They dress the truth
in coded shame
Then ask the lost
to play their game

But love won't grow
from guilt or chains
And no true grace
calls out for pain

If God is one
then why divide?
Why choose a path
that won't abide?

No voice of light
drew lines to fight
If God is love,
then lead by light

They speak of peace
but guard the door
As if belief
was keeping score

They shout of sin
but miss the grace
And hold the book
like it's a mace

They call it faith
but stand above
Forget the root
was always love

No faith can bloom
in soil of fear
It fades with hate,
but grows in tears

If God is one
then why divide?
Why choose a path
that won’t abide?

No voice of light
drew lines to fight
If God is love,
then lead by light

No heaven asks
for fire and stone
No heart was born
to break alone

The names may change,
but souls are same
And truth won’t wear
a single name

If God is one
then break the wall
Let every prayer
be heard by all

If love’s the guide,
then walk upright
If God is love,
then lead by light

Lead by light
Lead by light
