Light Beyond the Night

A week before the Christmas glow
We watched the fading candle slow

Your final day, so near, so clear
And Christmas came with silent tears

The tree was lit, the carols played
Yet grief and love together stayed

Light beyond the night will shine
Through sorrow’s dark, through fragile time

Though death may come, it won’t divide
For love and hope still walk beside

Love remains, we’ll meet again!

You told us not to fear the end
That heaven waits, our souls ascend

Not gone from us, just gone before
We’ll meet beyond that shining door

And in the silence, faith was near
A whispered truth for us to hear

Light beyond the night will shine
Through sorrow’s dark, through fragile time

Though death may come, it won’t divide
For love and hope still walk beside

Christmas belongs to memory too
To those we lost, yet still hold true

The birth of Christ, the promise made
That death itself can’t make us fade

Love remains, we’ll meet again!

Light beyond the night will shine
Through every tear, through sacred time

For Christmas speaks, in joy, in pain
That we shall rise, we’ll meet again
